Archival Rucksack - Waxed

Our Rucksack, made from stout closely woven waxed twill, is a modern interpretation of the traditional canoe pack. With a slim profile, durable construction, and sensible features, our Rucksack is free of complications and sure to please even the most demanding user.

Archival Rucksacks are constructed from 22 ounce heavy weight waxed cotton twill, Horween Chromexcel leather, solid brass hardware, and mil-spec cotton webbing.

Practical features include: adjustable two inch wide shoulder straps, two outer bellows pockets, leather strap with brass roller buckle closure, and draw cord to secure the bag’s contents. Edges are bound in waxed cotton tape, and stress points are bar-tacked or riveted. A double-layer reinforced bottom ensures a long life and even wear; semi-rigid back panel guarantees a comfortable ride and prevents bag flop.

Highest quality materials: Waxed twill fabric, leather, and thread are of US origin. Webbing and most of our brass hardware is sourced from the UK.

Care Instructions: Wipe clean with a damp cloth or brush. Spot clean with cold water. Do not use soap. Do not dry clean or machine wash, as this will remove the finish. Our bags arrive at your door fully waxed and ready to use. Over time, you may want to re-wax your bag to maintain its water repellency. Re-proofing wax is available in the Archival Clothing store.
